A Hope that is Sure

“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.” (Hebrews 6:17-20)

What is your hope for today?

Some of you may be hoping for success in your career. Others may be hoping you can pass your assessments in school today. Yet others hope for peace and harmony in the relationships in your family. Or you may just be hoping to get through the day in one piece!

Whatever your hopes are today, there is a singular hope that you can hold on to for all time! It is a hope that God has promised to us through an oath. It is a hope that is realized in our Lord Jesus, who has entered the inner sanctuary on behalf of us and before us. This hope is unchangeable, sure and steadfast!

What is this hope?

It is the hope that we will be reconciled with God forever and enjoy His greatest blessings for us!

And this hope acts an anchor of our hearts and minds. Like an heir who endures because he knows he will receive what has been promised to him, the Spirit encourages us to be strengthened to face the challenges of this life by looking to the hope that we will get.

More than that, let us also let this hope be our overiding hope above all else!

Have a blessed day🙏
