TITHES & OFFERINGS
Christian giving is an integral part of our worship to God.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.'” – Hebrews 11:28-29
We worship God acceptably when we steward our energy, time, talents and possession for the glory of God and work of his kingdom.
Christian giving is an expression of our love and care for the needs of others.
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:16-18
Our giving enables the church to continue to meet the needs of others in practical ways, and so demonstrates the love of God in our hearts.
Our cheerful giving releases God’s blessings upon us
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
God’s blessings for us extends far beyond material means. They include divine peace, joy and fulfilment in our hearts. Our cheerful and generous giving allows us to participate in our Father’s good nature.
Your pledges and regular givings to Church of the Ascension are important.
All givings to Church of the Ascension are used to support the ministries of our church as well as work of the wider body of Christ in the world. They enable our church to carry out her mission according to the budget plan, as well as to respond to the needs around us.
Tithing and offerings can be done via Cash/Cheque, Internet Banking and PayNow. More details for these options can be found below.

Please place them in your tithe envelopes and drop the envelopes into the Service Offertory Boxes, or simply drop the cash into the Service Offertory Boxes.

Place cash in envelopes and indicate the purpose of your donation eg. Restoration Works, Welfare, Missions, etc.

Tithes envelopes can also be obtained from our Church office.
Important
- All givings to the Church are voluntary and non-refundable.
- Receipts will not be issued for tithes, offerings and general donations.
- Givings to the Church do not qualify for tax exemption
