Remain in God’s Grace

Remain in God’s Grace
(Day 6 – 24 Feb 2026)

“My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.” Galatians 4:19

In Galatians 4:8–20, we hear Paul’s heartfelt appeal to the believers in Galatia—words that continue to speak powerfully to the church today. He reminds them, and us, of the grace we have received in Christ. Having been set free from spiritual bondage, we are invited to live fully as children of God. Yet Paul also expresses deep concern that some were turning back, drawn again toward old ways and false teachings.

His message is both tender and urgent: remain rooted in the freedom and truth found in Christ. Do not drift backward. Do not return to what once enslaved you. Instead, press forward in faith.

This passage invites us to treasure the freedom God has given us and to guard our hearts from slipping back into any form of spiritual captivity.

In January 2018, I began attending the Saturday service at Christ Methodist Church so that I could care for my mother on Sundays. When my mother was called home in January 2022, I soon sensed God gently leading me back to COA. I returned on 13 February 2022—a meaningful day that also marked the ordination of Rev. Ian as Vicar of COA.

Coming back after nearly three years was not easy. I often felt uncertain about where I belonged. During that season, I sensed a quiet prompting to join a home cell. I searched for one that met during the daytime, and in March 2023, I joined Abide Homecell. There, I was met with warmth, kindness, and a genuine spirit of welcome.

Through the love and care shown by the church staff, my home cell, and the wider COA community, I have gradually rediscovered a renewed sense of belonging. I am deeply thankful for the fellowship that has supported and encouraged me along the way.

I give thanks to God for His Word, which has sustained me and renewed my mind, as we are reminded in Romans 12:2: “Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” I also hold on to the assurance described in Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Faith grounded in God’s truth calls us not only to know His Word but to trust fully in Jesus Christ and to walk in obedience to Him.

May we continue to hunger for God’s Word, to recognise its worth, and to allow its power to shape our lives. Let us support one another in prayer, stand firm in the truth, and grow together in Christ—seeking always to live with the mind and heart of Jesus.
