Support One Another in the Journey

Support One Another in the Journey
Day 31 – 25 Mar (Wed)

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11

Hebrews 12:3–13 encourages us to fix our eyes on Jesus and the strength He offers. The passage reminds us that Jesus endured great suffering and yet did not lose heart. When we feel weary or discouraged, we are invited to look to Him as our example. He faced every trial with steadfast courage, keeping His eyes on the joy set before Him.

We are also reminded that God disciplines us because He loves us. Just as a caring parent trains and guides a child, God uses difficulties to shape our character and deepen our faith. At times, this discipline may feel painful, but it is never without purpose—it is meant to produce righteousness and peace in our lives.

Verses 12–13 call us to “strengthen our drooping hands and weak knees.” This is not only a personal exhortation but a communal one. We are called to encourage and support one another, helping each other remain steadfast in faith.

During this Lenten season, let us be intentional in supporting our family and friends in their struggles. Together, we can help one another fix our eyes on Jesus, the source of our hope and strength. Let us also embrace God’s loving discipline, trusting that it leads us into a deeper and more faithful walk with Him.
