Church of the Ascension (COA) partners with St Andrew’s Junior School through our chaplaincy work

- Sharing at Crossover, Beginning and End of Term services

Boys’ Brigade 7J Singapore Company
Chaplain: Ps Barnabas Sim

- Fridays, 7.30 – 9 am, at the COA MPH
- BB Adventure Quest and training – February and March
- Annual Camp, Enrolment & Dedication Service, and BB Week – March
- BB Character Quest and training – July and August
- BB C.A.R.E.S. Community Outreach – usually 2nd half of the year
Primary 4 and 1 Applied Learning Programme (ALP)
- COA is one of the stations along the SAJS Heritage Trail
- P4s have to learn about the different stations in May
- P4 classes to “own” a station (ie. one of the classes will be based in COA) and share their knowledge with P1s in July
Recess Ministries
- Tuesdays to Thursdays during recess time, 9.30 to 11am.
- Saints Haven: Boys are engaged through indoor activities (board and card games). The prayer requests box, devotionals, and bibles are also located here.
- School Field: Staff play and coach boys running in the field. Prayers are also offered for anyone who needs it.
- Library: Sharing knowledge of Christian festivals (eg. Lent) and reading sessions for Christian books
Afterschool programmes
- High Needs Students referred by SAJS
- Wednesdays at 1.30pm to 4.30pm
- Hope Courageous: P4-5s; Up & On: P6s
- Provides weekly supervised revision/tuition, and activities to engage the boys
- November holidays outing.

SAV Praying Parents
- Thursdays, 7.30 – 8.00 am, at COA MPH
- Group of SAJS parents praying regularly for the needs of the school
P6 Post-PSLE Activities
- Inspirational speakers, engaging sports, and interesting activities.
- Usually after PSLE Marking Exercise
Holidays sports clinics
- Currently offering badminton
- Exploring offering football and basketball also, depending on demand.
Other partnerships
- Annual Mandarin oranges distribution together with SAJS’s CNY Committee
- Annual SAJS Staff Appreciation Day together with SAPTA
- Annual Christmas breakfast and gifts to SAV staff
- Christmas recess activities
- Quarterly teachers’ chapels
- Weekly Boarding House staff devotions
