Dear COA Family,
A very blessed Chinese New Year to you!
There are many wishes that can be made for each new year, yet there is one that I believe would be most important and helpful for you in the year ahead.
It is this: I pray that the Lord will lead and guide you in glorifying Him and fulfilling His purposes for your life in the coming year.
Why is this important? Fulfilling God’s will for our lives is important because, firstly, all of us want our lives to count for something. It is futile and even tragic to seek to live for a purpose only to find out, in the final reckoning, that it was for nothing. Secondly, we live in urgent times. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. And there is still much work to be done and souls to be won for God’s kingdom. It is therefore important to make our days and moments count for the Lord.
And this is, in fact, what the Lord is eager to do for us in this year.
He promises in Psalm 32:8:
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Let us be very open to God’s guidance for our lives this year. Let us not only hear but also heed the leading of the Holy Spirit, responding in faith and living in accordance to God’s will for our lives. And if you are unsure about God’s direction for your life, feel free to reach out to your cell leaders, the pastoral staff or even myself. We would love to pray with you and discern God’s leading in your life!
